Xiaomi’s top camera phone, the Xiaomi 13 Pro, boasts a sleek curved design with a thin aluminum frame and a ceramic back panel that offers a glossy finish. Its 6.73-inch curved LTPS OLED display with Gorilla Glass fixes protection has a high resolution of 1440p and 120Hz refresh rate. The display features 10-bit color depth, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, making it extra sharp at 522 PPI.

Camera Performance: Xiaomi’s Top Camera Phone

The camera on the Xiaomi 13 Pro is comparable to other high-end smartphones. The device captures detailed videos with excellent dynamic range, good color presentation, great contrast, and natural rendition. Electronic stabilization is available on both the Main and Ultra wide cameras, and it does a great job.

In low light, the main camera’s 4K videos have enough detail and good color saturation. The noise is also kept low enough, although the videos are somewhat darker than expected and have low dynamic range. However, the main camera has a night mode available for video capture, which greatly improves the exposure and dynamic range. The colors also get a noticeable saturation boost.

Low-light 4K videos from the telephoto camera are quite usable, with enough detail, true-to-life exposure, good-looking colors, and an OK dynamic range. On the other hand, low-light Ultra wide videos are dark and noisy, with low dynamic range. They are still usable but nothing great.

Overall, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is an excellent camera phone that’s definitely worth recommending, especially for those who have the money to spend.

Audio and Performance

For audio, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support, which produces excellent sound quality. Under the hood, the device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which allows for faster performance and smoother multitasking. This device also has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging and 67W wireless fast charging.

User Interface and Features

The Xiaomi 13 Pro features the company’s latest MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. This interface hasn’t changed too much from the previous version, but it does come with some behind-the-scenes optimizations for better performance. Other features include automatic compression for unused apps and enlarged folders to save space on the home screen.

Other Features

Apart from its camera performance, the Xiaomi 13 Pro also boasts a stunning display. The device comes with a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and gaming a delight. The phone also has fast charging capabilities, with a 5000mAh battery that can be charged up to 100% in just 38 minutes. The device runs on MIUI 13, which is Xiaomi’s latest custom Android skin.

However, there are a couple of downsides to the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The selfie camera’s quality is average, and there aren’t any user-facing updates in the UI compared to past Xiaomi devices.
